The 24th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for South Asia and the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific
The 24th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific and the UNWTO Commission for South Asia will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 3-5 May 2012, in conjunction with the UNWTO High-Level Regional Conference on Green Tourism.
At this meeting, UNWTO will present the analysis of its long-term forecast for international tourism, i.e. Tourism Towards 2030. Special emphasis will be placed on the latest findings in the Asia-Pacific region. Another important item on the agenda will be the election of two candidates to represent each commission on the Programme and Budget Committee following the approval of its constitution by the 19th General Assembly.
The Joint Commission Meeting is one of the most important events in the UNWTO Asia Pacific calendar for 2012, and again promises to be an invaluable learning, discussion and networking opportunity for all involved.
