Technical Tours

All tours can accommodate 150 participants max. unless specified.

 

Option 1: Authentic Experience

Location: Vuda, Nadi and Mamanucas

Duration: 08:30am - 06:30pm

The purpose of this whole-day tour is to offer the visitor an authentic Fijian travel experience - the culture, people and attractions of Fiji. The tour will provide various land and water-based experiences, including tours of:
 
  1. Viseisei Village - a chiefly village in Vuda Point and the oldest village in Fiji, Veiseisei was established when the first Melanesian canoes landed at Vuda Point in the year 1500. The village is home to prominent Fijian leaders and a host to prominent foreign dignitaries
    • Vuda Primary School - an opportunity to meet with Fijian children
    • Sabeto Mud Pool - relax and rejuvenate in a mud bath
  2. Tavarua island* - a premier surf and water-sports island resort located in close proximity to world-class waves and reef breaks. The island is also home to a Clams Conservation and Mini Hatchery Project that aims to restore the supply of endangered giant clams to the hatcheries and to reintroduce them in the protected reefs

Option 2: South Sea Island Experience

Location: South Sea Island, Mamanucas

Duration: 09:00am - 03:30pm

Cruise South Sea Island and the surrounding Mamanuca Islands on Fiji Time and enjoy the sights and sounds of island life - beautiful people, beautiful culture and beautiful sea and marine life. The island itinerary includes:
 
  • Exclusive use of South Sea Island
  • Cultural performances
  • Free use of non-motorized sports equipment (kayaks, paddleboard, hobie cat) and snorkeling gear
  • Exclusive use of high speed boat Catamaran boat
  • Subsea adventure - rides on the semi-submersible coral viewer boat
  • Guided reef snorkelling
  • Salt water swimming pool
  • Lunch with complimentary drinks

 

Option 3: Shark Diving & Underwater Experience*

Location: Beqa

Duration: 06:00am - 05:00pm

On the fringes of Beqa Lagoon, Shark Reef Marine Reserve was created to study the resident shark population and in turn aid in the long-term conservation of sharks worldwide.
 
It is here, within the Shark Reef Marine Reserve, that the shark dive experience takes place in the presence of a swirling throng of shark species - Bulls, Tigers, Sicklefin Lemons, Silvertips, Grey Reefs, Whitetip Reefs, Blacktip Reefs and Tawny Nurses.
 
Of course, the hour-long surface interval between each dive also allows for time to relax and enjoy the friendly Fijian hospitality!
 
NOTE:
  • Participants must have PADI certification
  • Participants require a mandatory recuperation period in excess of 18 hours before undertaking outbound travel

Option 4: Heritage Tourism

Location: Sigatoka and Momi Bay

Duration: 08:00am - 03:30pm

Traditional salt-making has been practiced in Lomawai village for generations. The process of sea salt extraction and purification is natural and not altered with added chemicals. Highlights of this tour include:
 
  • Lomawai village tour and Traditional enterntainment
  • Salt-making process presentation

The tour will also include site visits to:

  • Momi Battery Historic Park - a gun battery site established in 1941 to protect the land and people of Fiji during World War II. The site overlooks the Navula Passage, through which enemy ships could enter and attack Nadi and its airfields
  • Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay - the newly constructed 5-star resort offers the ultimate island retreat, with over-water Villas, an Infinity pool, a Spa and a range of similar luxury facilities
